Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival at the LCS Waterfront

On Friday, September 25, members of the LCS International Club brought students together at the waterfront to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, a tradition rooted in Chinese culture and celebrated in communities across East and Southeast Asia.

Often associated with the fall harvest, family reunions and the beauty of the full moon, the festival offered boarding students an opportunity to share in a meaningful cultural tradition while enjoying an evening together on campus.

The waterfront provided a beautiful setting for the celebration, with students enjoying authentic snacks, music, glowing lights and, of course, mooncakes, a traditional treat enjoyed during the festival. As the evening unfolded beneath the moonlit sky, students had the chance to connect with friends, share cultural traditions and enjoy a welcome pause in the rhythm of boarding school life.

Events like these are an important part of the boarding experience at LCS. They create opportunities for students to celebrate the cultures and traditions that are meaningful to them, learn from one another and build connections that make the School feel like home.

It was a wonderful way to bring the community together and close out Friday evening at the waterfront.
