Haunted Halls Brings Big Terrors to LCS

Written by Audrey ’27
This year’s annual Haunted Halls event on Saturday, October 24 delivered an unforgettable night of thrills and spooky antics as our school transformed into a twisted "Circus & Clowns" nightmare. Preparations of “The Travelling Circus”kicked off early at 1:00 PM as our volunteering Grads gathered to plan out for the night. Our grad scare actors spent hours perfecting each section around the school block, while our makeup artists worked along creating spooky but creative makeups in the art room. Everyone has been setting up eerie mazes and honing their jump scares. The hard work paid off the moment the doors opened, immersing visitors in a labyrinth of dark hallways filled with sinister dolls, unsettling sideshow illusions, and creepy clowns lurking around every turn in the school block.
The heart-pounding energy stayed at an all-time high throughout the entire night as scare actors gave it their all, staying in character and delivering non-stop frights all the way until 10:00 PM. Constantly jumping out from the dark, screaming, and staying in character for hours on end was utterly exhausting work for all the volunteered grads, but seeing everyone's terrified reactions made every bit of tire worthy. Screams and laughter echoed through the hallways as students and staff members navigated multiple scare zones designed to keep everyone on the edge of their seats. A massive thank you goes out to all the performers and staff who dedicated nine hours of spooky creativity to make this event a huge success! We hope you survived the big top, and we can’t wait for the next year’s Haunted Halls to come!
