Learn Why LCS Students and Families Love it at LCS!
At Lakefield College School, we warmly invite students and families to experience the unique blend of academic excellence, community spirit, and outdoor adventure that defines our school. Our Open House events are thoughtfully designed to provide you with an in-depth look at life at LCS and to connect you with our vibrant school community.
Considering Grade 9 or boarding school? Come experience a different kind of high school education.
At Lakefield College School, challenging academics, hands-on learning, outdoor adventure and a close-knit global community come together to create an immersive high school experience that prepares students for university and life beyond.
For students beginning in Grade 9, Lakefield offers four full years to explore interests, build strong academic foundations, take on new challenges and grow into leadership. For boarding students, our 12 small Houses create welcoming communities where students are genuinely known, supported and encouraged to become increasingly independent. Day students are also part of our Houses, bringing everyone together in a community of students from more than 40 countries.
What to Expect at Open House
- Explore Our Academic Program: Discover how Advanced Placement (AP) courses, university-style Harkness discussions, Thinking Classrooms and interdisciplinary learning develop critical thinking, collaboration and the skills students need for university and beyond.
- Experience Our Distinctive Boarding and House Life: With 12 boarding Houses—more than any other Canadian independent boarding school, yet among the smallest—students are genuinely known.
