Career Day

Career Day is an annual tradition at The Grove providing students with an opportunity to make a connection between their academic interests and future professional endeavors. In addition to this learning opportunity, Career Day gives students, alumni, parents and friends the occasion to develop meaningful connections for the future.

Kate has 20+ years of experience in the advertising and design industry. Her business sensibilities matched with her savvy commitment to always taking bold risks led her to launch three production/post-production facilities, all culminating to what is now Tendril Design + Animation. In 2019, she realized a long term goal of purchasing and renovating a building that has become a beautiful flagship studio for the company. 
In 2022, she helped broker and complete a deal between Tendril, London based creative studio FutureDeluxe, and London based PE firm Queens Park Equity to co-found Forever, an organization that will reimagine the future of design, moving image and emerging technology on a global scale. In 2024, London based creative studio Builders Club was added to the portfolio. 
As COO of Forever and Tendril, Kate positions teams to put their best foot forward by facilitating opportunities for change and growth. In her role, she is focused on building and supporting an environment where people are free to be boundlessly creative within the parameters of a smart business model. She is directly involved in finance, communications, new business, IT, talent, and the execution of the overall vision of the company. In 2024, Kate and her team completed the rigorous work to become B-Corp certified, demonstrating to the world their commitment to social and environmental responsibility, transparency, and accountability. 
She is community minded and has served on numerous charity and industry boards. Kate Co-Founded, served as Chair, and now sits on the Steering Committee of a MakeWay Charitable initiative called Together Project, promoting diversity, inclusion, and civic engagement through programs that connect refugee newcomers with volunteers.

Lakefield College School is a private, coeducational boarding and day school for students in grades 9 through 12, located in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada.
