The Annual Grade 11 Newspaper Fashion Show
On Monday, September 8, the Grade 11s brought creativity, laughter, and a whole lot of leadership, character and LCS values to our Grade 11 grade time with our Annual Newspaper Fashion Show! In true LCS style, students turned piles of newspaper into bold, imaginative fashion statements.
Armed with newspaper, tape (once they’d earned it with a clever group name), and just 12 minutes on the clock, each team worked together to design themed runway-ready looks. The themes were as wild and varied as the outfits themselves: everything from Under the Sea mermaids and Hollywood Red Carpet glamour, to Outer Space aliens, Decades Throwback icons, and Pirates & Treasure adventures.
The runway show was nothing short of spectacular. Students strutted to their chosen songs, showing off dramatic costumes, over-the-top accessories, and plenty of attitude. The energy in the room was electric as classmates cheered each other on, celebrating both the artistry and the playful chaos of the challenge.
Of course, there were awards — for creativity, teamwork, and runway drama — but the true prize was the laughter, collaboration, and memories built along the way.
The event was a perfect reminder that when Grade 11 comes together with imagination and boldness, the results are nothing short of unforgettable.
