Ondaatje Challenge 2026: 640m Swim

The fourth and final event in the 2026 Ondaatje Challenge took place on the morning of June 3 as 17 students gathered at the waterfront for the annual 640m swim.

Under clear skies and ideal conditions, competitors completed the final test of endurance in this year's challenge series. Following the run, bike, and paddle events, the swim marked the culmination of weeks of preparation, determination, and perseverance as students worked toward earning the prestigious Ondaatje Medal.

The time standards for the Ondaatje Medal require students to complete each event within 10 percent of the average winning time from the last 10 years.
