May Artist of the Month
As we close out another vibrant month of creative activity at Lakefield College School, we are pleased to recognize our May Artist of the Month nominees. From the stage to the studio to ensemble performances, this month showcased an impressive range of artistic talent, dedication, and growth across our community.
Each nominee was recognized for their unique contributions to the arts at LCS:
- Leo ’27 – For his outstanding dual contribution as both an engaging performer in the spring play and a skilled visual artist. Leo brought incredible focus and physicality to his role on stage, while also using his artistic talents behind the scenes to paint key props and essential set pieces.
- Nora ’26 – For her exceptional achievement in selling out all of her artwork at the ECCO gallery, a remarkable milestone that reflects both her creativity and growing impact as a visual artist.
- Mason ’26 – For his standout performance in the spring play, where he took on several key roles with strong comedic timing and energy. He was highly collaborative throughout rehearsals and also contributes to the arts community at LCS as the leader of the student-run DnD club.
- Anton ’28– For his dedication and growth as a bass guitar player in Rock Choir. Despite only picking up the instrument last year, Anton has quickly developed into a reliable and talented musician who anchors the band’s rhythm section with confidence and style.
- Steven ’28 – For his commitment to the Lorelei Consort Choir and his steady dedication to improving his vocal skills. Steven’s love of learning has been evident in his growth as a singer throughout the term.
May Artist of the Month Winner: Leo ’27!
Congratulations to Leo, whose combined strengths as both a performer and visual artist made him a standout this month. His contributions on stage and behind the scenes helped bring this spring’s production to life in a meaningful and memorable way.
