September Athlete of the Month: Adrianna Salalila ’27
The Athlete of the Month award celebrates students who demonstrate exceptional skill, leadership, and dedication in their sport. Nominated by coaches and athletics SICs, this award recognises outstanding performances over the past month.
This month’s nominees include:
- Ryan Simmons ’26, a quiet leader on the water who supports teammates with compassion, teaches with care, and encourages others to take risks.
- Adrianna Salalila ’27, who travelled to Cherry Downs for the CISAA OFSAA qualifier and, despite challenging conditions, shot one under on the back nine and a 76 overall to finish tied for first in the Open Girls category, qualifying for the OFSAA golf championship.
- Liv Foy ’26, new to LCS this year, balancing competitive riding with Cross Country. Liv placed 15th overall in a large senior girls division and has shown leadership, enthusiasm, and kindness.
- Joshua Paemurd ’27, who stepped into the challenging role of setter on the 2nd volleyball team and improved with every set, leading the team to a straight-set victory.
This month’s Athlete of the Month is Adrianna Salalila! Adrianna’s performance at the CISAA OFSAA qualifier was outstanding and a true example of resilience, composure, and hard work. Congratulations, Adrianna — your dedication inspires the entire LCS community.
