Friday Night Lights: Thrills, Cheers, and Last-Second Wins
On Friday, January 16, the LCS gym was alive with energy, cheers, and unforgettable moments as our basketball and volleyball teams lit up the court.
The evening kicked off with Jr. Boys Basketball facing a tough TASS squad. Despite a spirited effort and strong team play, the Jr. Boys came up just short in a hard-fought match.
The drama escalated with 1st Boys Basketball, who delivered a heart-stopping finish. With just six seconds remaining, Ted Wang sank a three-pointer, part of his 22-point performance, to secure a last-minute victory for the team. It was a thrilling display of skill, teamwork, and determination that had the crowd on their feet.
Meanwhile, the 1st Girls Volleyball team dominated their matchup, defeating rival TCS 3–1. Playing at the top of their game, the team showcased excellent coordination and strategy, marking one of their best performances to date.
The event was a celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and school spirit, with all teams giving their best. From buzzer-beater moments to standout plays on the court, Friday Night Lights was a reminder of the talent and energy that define LCS sports.
