The results are in for the 2026/27 Co-Head Student election, and we are pleased to announce that Sadie Mabbott ’27 and Teddy Macdonnell ’27 have been elected by their peers and staff to serve in this important leadership role for the year ahead.
Sadie and Teddy bring different but complementary approaches to leadership, both grounded in care for their community and a clear commitment to contributing to life at LCS.
When asked about their vision for the year ahead, Sadie reflected on the power of collective effort and the strength of community:
“Every person played a role, and when we worked together we were able to lift each other higher than we could have ever imagined. To me, that’s what a strong community looks like… Next year, we have a responsibility to foster an environment where every student is given the opportunity to thrive and grow, just as we have.”
Teddy shared a perspective shaped by quiet leadership and a belief in meaningful contribution, even when it happens behind the scenes:
“None of that work puts me in the spotlight; I don’t need the spotlight to lead. But without that work, the experience of my grade and my house would not be the same… Real leadership means going above and beyond, even when no one’s watching.”
Together, Sadie and Teddy reflect two important dimensions of student leadership at LCS—one rooted in connection and community spirit, the other in consistency, care, and dependable action.
We also extend sincere congratulations to all students who were nominated for Co-Head Student this year: Wesley Carr, Gwen Darby, Carla Kaefer, Leo Weir. Each candidate demonstrated thoughtful reflection on leadership and a genuine commitment to the LCS community.
We look forward to the leadership Sadie and Teddy will bring in the year ahead, and to the continued contributions of the entire student body as they help shape the LCS experience together.
