Frosty Fun and Warm Memories at Winter Carnival

Lakefield College School’s annual Winter Carnival took place on Friday, January 23, and while the temperature with windchill dipped to a brisk –26°C, our students embraced the chill with energy and enthusiasm.

The day was filled with classic winter delights. Students enjoyed horse-drawn sleigh rides, tobogganing, BeaverTails, hot chocolate, and maple taffy, creating moments of joy and laughter across Northcote Campus. The festivities offered a chance for students from all grades to come together, socialize, and celebrate the season outdoors.

It was inspiring to see the LCS community bundled up and making the most of every activity, proving that even the coldest days can be warm with camaraderie and shared experiences. The sounds of laughter, the thrill of racing down snowy hills, and the simple pleasures of sweet treats reminded everyone of the strong sense of community that thrives at LCS.

As we reflect on this year’s Winter Carnival, we are grateful for the memories made, the friendships strengthened, and the spirit of fun that keeps the LCS community connected—no matter the temperature.
