3D Printing for Local Hospitals

During class, a 3D printer is hard at work in the background of Mrs. Armstrong’s home office. After keeping in contact with a local collective for the past three weeks, it became apparent that the Lakefield College School’s printer could be put to use for the community. As Mrs. Armstrong completes classwork during the day and goes about her evening routine, the 3D printer prints reinforcement clips for face shields to be donated to the Peterborough PPE Collective in support of local hospitals. The collective has set a goal of crowdsourcing up to 5000 clips over the next few weeks with each printer aiming for 100 clips per week.
