Student Success at the Lakefield Literary Festival Young Writers’ Contest

The Lakefield Literary Festival Young Writers' Contest received 120 submissions, with Lakefield College School topping the list with the most submissions: a total of 41! Our students received accolades in the following categories:
 
  • Senior Non-Fiction: Anna Harris '20 (1st Place) and Nicole Liu '21 (Honourable Mention)
  • Junior Non-Fiction: Sunaina Vallamkonda '22 (Honourable Mention)
  • Senior Fiction: Anna Harris '20 and Nicole Liu '21 (Honourable Mention)
  • Junior Fiction: Teya Webster '23 (Honourable Mention)
  • Junior Poetry: Camryn Eatmon '23 and Sarah Jiang '22 (Honourable Mention)
The winners will be published in the Peterborough Examiner and a digital book will be published online on the Festival website.

Lakefield College School is a private, coeducational boarding and day school for students in grades 9 through 12, located in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada.
