The Value of Dining as a Family

One of the most important things our community shares together is dining. Food is powerful. It brings us together and connections to one another grow stronger. Food acts as a bridge in our relationships, culture and well-being. The value of eating together as a family remains a cornerstone of our community interaction and although we are required to physically distance and limit whole school dining for some meals, we will still bring our whole community safely together for lunchtime meals.

To achieve this, we are committed to eating together outside as often as possible, weather permitting. By increasing outdoor seating areas and creating more covered dining spaces outside, students and faculty are able to enjoy mealtimes together in residential cohorts. We are also offering a few different food options to accommodate safe and expedient food access: a grab-and-go station, our usual ‘hot line’ and, of course, our outstanding soup choices!

Things will look different this year, but we are confident that we will safely continue to connect, engage and grow as a community and part of that will include family time around the dining table.
