Stay Tuned: Encore! Dance Showcase

Arts programming at LCS is alive and well and we’re gearing up for our first dance performance of the year! From November 22 to 24, our dancers will perform ENCORE! Dance Showcase for their peers, teachers, and the broader LCS community.

Over 75 students (both in the Dance Company and in our co-curricular programs) have been working on this show since September. They’ve poured hours of their time and energy into learning new choreography, strengthening their performance skills, and building their confidence.

Last year's showcase, ReLaunch, was a celebration of returning to live performances with audiences. This year, our dance team wanted to invite people to come back for more...for an ENCORE! Their mission? To share the joy of dance with our community.

Our audience can expect to enjoy a range of dance genres including hip-hop, traditional Chinese dancing, K-pop, jazz, contemporary, tap, acro and musical theatre. This year also marks the return of the ever-popular campus kids dance (a dance number featuring the children of our residential staff)!

From the lights and technical design of the show to the costumes and choreography, it promises to be a night to remember!

“The amazing part of this process is the fact that almost every dance is choreographed and taught by the student members of the Dance Company. None of what you are seeing in the show existed eight weeks ago. Through dedication and commitment, our dancers have created magic on stage.” - Mr. Bemrose (ENCORE! Producer)
