From Marketing to Healthcare: LCS Students Explore Diverse Career Paths at Career Day

This week, we hosted our annual Career Day for our students in Grades 10 to 12, to give them the opportunity to connect with professionals from a range of fields and learn more about the career paths available to them.

About Career Day

Career Day is an annual tradition at The Grove, designed to help students link their academic interests to future professional endeavours. More than 20 guests from the LCS community—alumni, alumni parents, and friends of the school—participated in the event, sharing their diverse career experiences with students, from architecture to marketing, healthcare, technology, and more.

During the event, students selected two speaker sessions to attend, allowing them to dive deeper into multiple areas of interest. The speakers shared their experiences and answered students' questions, offering a glimpse into life after LCS.

Career Day not only exposed students to various career options but also helped them navigate the process of making decisions about post-secondary education. Speakers offered valuable advice and guidance to help students make informed choices about their future paths.

In addition to the learning opportunity, Career Day also provided a chance for students to forge meaningful connections with alumni, parents, and friends. These connections could prove useful in the future as students explore potential career paths and seek out new opportunities.

Thank you to all of our guest speakers who took the time to participate in the event. Your insights and experiences were invaluable and you served as positive role models for what life after LCS can look like.
