Unleashing Talent on the Track: LCS Athletes Impress at Colts Classic

Our Track and Field team showcased their incredible talent and determination at the recent Colts Classic Race in Markham, marking their second meet of the season. With nearly 50 schools participating in the event, our athletes made a strong impression with their outstanding performances.

One standout athlete was Jos ’25, who secured an impressive second-place finish in the Junior Boys Discus Competition. His hard work and dedication paid off, as he demonstrated exceptional skill and technique.

Sophia ’25 also made her mark, displaying her versatility in multiple events. She showed great tenacity, finishing 10th in the Junior Girls 80m Hurdles and securing the 33rd spot in the Junior Girls 100m dash. Sophia's determination and competitive spirit were truly commendable.

Titus ’25 showcased his speed and agility, claiming the 10th position in the highly competitive Junior Boys 100m hurdles. His focussed training and relentless effort allowed him to excel in this demanding event.

Jesse ’25 left a lasting impression in the Senior Boys' 100m dash, crossing the finish line at an impressive 28th place out of 120 runners. His dedication to improving his speed and endurance paid off, as he represented Lakefield with great pride.

Mazal ’23 demonstrated remarkable endurance in the Senior Boys 1500m, securing an outstanding 6th place finish. His resilience and unwavering determination propelled him towards this remarkable achievement.

We couldn't be prouder of all our athletes who participated in the Colts Classic. Each one of them exhibited exceptional skill, sportsmanship, and commitment throughout the two-day event. Their hard work and dedication both on and off the track are a true testament to their passion for the sport.
