A Creative Kick-Off for Our Grade 11 Students

Last week, our Grade 11 students dove headfirst into the spirit of teamwork and innovation during their first LCV (Leadership, Character, Values) activity of the year. As they prepare for an incredible year ahead, they were given a challenge that showcased their inventive prowess.

Students were divided into teams, each assigned a unique theme, and armed with nothing but newspapers and limited tape. Their mission? To design and craft a fashion ensemble fit for the runway in just 20 minutes for a Newspaper Fashion Show.

The rustling of newspapers and the peals of laughter filled McEwen Gym as they deftly transformed plain newsprint into funky fashion statements.

This activity not only encouraged creative thinking and resourcefulness but also strengthened bonds among classmates as they collaborated to meet the challenge.

As they strutted their stuff down the impromptu runway, the Grade 11 students wowed their peers with their ingenuity and flair, setting the stage for a year filled with innovation, unity, and boundless possibilities.
