LCS Students Shine at the 2025 CIS Music Festival

We’re proud to celebrate the musical talents of 15 LCS students who recently took part in the Conference of Independent Schools Music Festival (CISMF)—a non-competitive, collaborative event that brings together over 1,400 students and educators from CIS schools across Ontario.

Representing LCS with passion and dedication were:
Jorja ’27, Dora ’27, Ansheng ’26, Lora ’26, Valerie ’26, Nina ’26, Manaka ’26, Karen ’26, Olivia ’25, Daisy ’25, Suri ’25, Viviana ’25, Bridget ’25, Cindy ’25, and Bokyung ’25.

Over the course of three intensive rehearsal days in York Region, these students worked alongside peers from across the province, preparing for a culminating performance at Toronto’s iconic Roy Thomson Hall—an unforgettable experience that’s always a sold-out event.

Our students were placed in three major ensembles: Senior Choir, Wind Ensemble, and Chamber Strings. We are especially proud to highlight Cindy Chen, Karen Wu, and Nina Zhou for earning leadership positions in the Chamber Strings through successful auditions.

  • Cindy ’25 – Principal Second Violin

  • Karen ’26 – Associate Concertmaster

  • Nina ’26 – Principal Cello

These roles recognize not only their technical skill but also their leadership within the ensemble—contributing to the overall success of this powerful musical collaboration.

CISMF is a celebration of shared creativity, discipline, and the joy of music-making. Congratulations to all of our LCS participants for representing our school with excellence and enthusiasm!
