Generations United: The Sequel — Grade 10 Students Reconnect with Seniors at Canterbury Gardens

Building on the success of the Generations United pilot event we hosted here at LCS earlier this May, our Grade 10 students recently visited Canterbury Gardens to reconnect with local seniors and welcome new friends from the community.

During their Intersession Day activities on May 24, students and seniors shared an afternoon of games, conversation, and laughter—deepening bonds and fostering intergenerational connection.

This follow-up event highlights the power of Generations United to bridge generations, promote empathy, and build community. Students showed leadership and kindness, ensuring every guest felt valued and included.

Thank you to Canterbury Gardens staff and all volunteers for supporting this meaningful initiative. We look forward to our new Generations United gathering!
