Each month, we celebrate LCS students who demonstrate exceptional creativity, dedication, and impact in the arts. Our February nominees for Artist of the Month were:
Jimmy ’28, Robotics – Recognized for his exceptional innovation and determination in robotics, Jimmy envisioned a clear path to the 2026 competition and provided the leadership necessary to turn a technical vision into reality.
Shakira ’26, Dance Company – Celebrated for her exceptional choreography and determination in this year’s dance showcase, Shakira mentored her peers with team spirit and ensured every dancer felt welcomed and appreciated on stage.
Koko ’26, Dance Company – Honored for her exceptional grace and determination in the dance showcase, Koko poured immense energy into every movement, captivating the audience with her standout performance.
Nina ’26, Dance Company – Recognized for her exceptional grace and leadership in dance, Nina guided her peers with a kind and caring spirit while showcasing a beautiful artistic vision.
Emily ’26, Dance Company – Celebrated for her exceptional charisma and determination, Emily delivered a fierce performance that drew every eye in the room and captured the audience’s attention with her magnetic stage presence.
And the February Artist of the Month is… Shakira Pio!
Shakira’s dedication, mentorship, and artistry shone brightly during the dance showcase, inspiring her peers and leaving a lasting impression on everyone who watched. Congratulations, Shakira—your creativity and leadership continue to elevate the arts at LCS!
