Canadian and International Law Students Participate in Mock Crime Scene

On Friday, February 28, Ms. Hansler’s Canadian and International Law class engaged in an immersive Mock Crime Scene exercise designed to give students hands-on experience in forensic investigation.

During the exercise, students applied a variety of investigative techniques, including measuring and sketching the scene, taking detailed photographs and notes, dusting for fingerprints, lifting prints, and collecting hair evidence. They then used the evidence to develop potential suspect profiles and formulate hypotheses about the crime.

The exercise provided students with a practical understanding of how evidence is collected and analyzed in real-world investigations. A special thank you to Officer Lester from the OPP for his guidance and support throughout the activity, helping make the experience both educational and engaging.
