Our Grade 12 and AP Visual Art students have been showcasing their work at ECCO Gallery this month, with the exhibition receiving an enthusiastic response from students, staff, families, alumni, and members of the wider community.
The show officially opened on Thursday, May 21, with a lively reception attended by a large number of supporters eager to celebrate the creativity and accomplishments of our senior artists. Since opening night, the exhibition has welcomed steady interest from visitors, with several student works already sold and many positive comments shared by members of the public.
The showcase features a diverse collection of pieces that reflect the artistic growth, technical skill, and individual perspectives of this year’s graduating artists. From painting and drawing to mixed media and experimental work, the exhibition highlights the range of creativity fostered through the Visual Art program at Lakefield College School.
Featured artists include Nora Reise-Ward ’26, Charlotte Capombassis ’26, Rey De Moura ’26, JC Hernandez Steinfatt ’26, Tate Hilton ’26, Dawn Liu ’26, Cari van der Merwe ’26, Sofia Yousafzai ’26, Ansheng Zhou ’26, and Fiona Zhou ’26.
In addition to celebrating student achievement, the exhibition is also giving back to the local community. Five percent of all artwork sales will be donated to the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society, supporting its ongoing work in the region.
The exhibition will remain on display at ECCO Gallery until Saturday, May 30. Community members in the area are encouraged to stop by, support our student artists, and experience this impressive collection of senior work before the show closes.
