Exciting Scholarship Winners

It is our pleasure to announce two special scholarships that were awarded during the Closing Awards Ceremony on Friday evening.

The Pinkerton Scholarship is awarded to a graduating student from Ontario who demonstrates outstanding community service, combined with high academic achievement and demonstrated financial need. This award was presented to three students: Aikansha Chawla, Asheesh Momi and Adam Milburn.

Laura Lamont was awarded a British Alumni Vocational Scholarship, a unique scholarship provided by the UK Friends of Lakefield College School, a UK charity originally reflecting the gratitude of British Alumni who attended The Grove during the Second World War, but now funded largely by LCS graduates living in Europe. Similar to the British Alumni Travelling Scholarship, this award is intended to support and further a demonstrated particular vocational interest for up to one year of work, travel and study abroad. The recipient is expected to develop a plan for further learning of, and experience with, his/her area of vocational interest and to provide a written account of the year's activities and travels to be made available to future potential Scholars.
