The Paul and Hélène Desmarais Family Scholarship

This prestigious national scholarship is awarded annually to deserving Canadian students who have demonstrated financial need.  The recipients of this scholarship embody the LCS ideals in mind, body, and spirit, and have demonstrated outstanding leadership and strong academic ability.

  • Process to Apply

    In order to qualify for The Paul and Hélène Desmarais Family Scholarship, we ask that candidates:

    • Write an email, addressed to the Assistant Head, Enrolment Management (admissions@lcs.on.ca), indicating your interest in being considered for this award and identify what makes you a strong candidate (Max: 650 words).
    • Provide an outline of service performed for your school, community, country, or the world;
    • In addition to the Confidential Teacher Recommendation, submit two letters of recommendation from a teacher, community leader, coach, etc. While not required, the reference may consider identifying how you uphold any of the LCS values;
    • Parents/Guardians must submit an application to Apple Financial Services.

    Please note that each of the steps outlined above can be completed through your LCS Parent Portal account created when submitting an application. Alternatively, documents can be sent to the Admissions team member assisting you throughout the admissions process.
  • Application Deadline

    Applicants are asked to apply for this prestigious award before February 15.

    Following this date, please inquire (admissions@lcs.on.ca) to determine scholarship availability.

Lakefield College School is a private, coeducational boarding and day school for students in grades 9 through 12, located in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada.
