On Tuesday, October 7, the Lakefield College School community gathered for the annual Blessing of the Animals and Thanksgiving Service — a cherished tradition that honours the Feast of Saint Francis. This special event brought together students, staff, and their beloved pets for a meaningful moment of reflection and gratitude.
After sharing a meal together, members of the community brought their companions to Chapel — from dogs and cats to a very special lizard — where Reverend John Runza led a heartfelt blessing. The gathering was a warm reminder of the deep bonds we share with animals, with each other, and with the world around us.
As we continue to celebrate the season of Thanksgiving, we pause to appreciate the many blessings — big and small — that enrich our lives.
