Step by Step: LCS Supports the 2025 CIBC Run for the Cure
On Sunday, October 5, LCS students and staff joined hundreds of community members at Nicholls Oval Park in Peterborough to participate in the annual CIBC Run for the Cure—a nationwide event supporting breast cancer research and awareness.
This year, 12 student runners, 5 staff runners, and 11 student volunteers represented LCS with incredible spirit and dedication. Together, our LCS team raised nearly $2,000, earning the “School Team Challenge Award” for the most funds raised in the School category.
At Lakefield College School, service is at the heart of who we are. We believe that leadership means serving others, and that each of us has a responsibility to contribute meaningfully to our local, national, and global communities. The CIBC Run for the Cure is just one of many ways our students engage in service learning—whether through community partnerships, volunteer initiatives, or our Clean Casual Days, where funds raised support charitable causes.
We are proud of our students and staff for embodying the LCS spirit of compassion, teamwork, and purpose, making a difference, one step at a time.
