February Athlete of the Month - Nora Reise-Ward ’26

Each month, we celebrate LCS students who demonstrate exceptional skill, determination, and leadership in athletics. Our February nominees for Athlete of the Month were:
  • Axel ’26, 1st Alpine Racing – Recognized for his outstanding performance on the slopes, Axel earned an individual CISAA gold medal and led the Alpine team to a first-place finish and OFSAA championship qualification.

  • Wesley ’27, 1st Boys Hockey – Celebrated for his offensive production and determination, Wesley scored in six consecutive games and played a pivotal role in leading LCS to a TCS tournament championship.

  • Nora ’26, 1st Snowboard Racing – Honored for her exceptional speed and determination, Nora secured a CISAA individual gold medal, propelled the girls’ snowboarding team to an OFSAA championship victory, and established herself as one of the fastest riders in the province with a near-podium finish.

  • Kenzie ’26, 1st Alpine Racing – Recognized for her leadership and determination as a team captain, Kenzie placed 2nd overall in CISAA and earned a spot for the girls’ Alpine team at the OFSAA championship, serving as an outstanding role model for her peers.

  • Tomás ’27, 2nd Boys Basketball – Celebrated for his defensive tenacity and determination on the court, Tomás shut down opponents with relentless hustle, shifted game momentum through his high basketball IQ, and acted as the heart of the team with his infectious positivity.

And the February Athlete of the Month is… Nora Reise-Ward ’26!
 
Nora’s speed, skill, and leadership on the slopes were unmatched this season, helping her team achieve championship success while setting herself apart as one of the fastest snowboarders in the province. Congratulations, Nora—your determination and athletic excellence continue to inspire the LCS community!
