LCS Students Attend Global Student Leadership Conference in Blue Mountain
April 19-21, 2026, a group of 10 LCS students travelled to Blue Mountain to take part in the Global Student Leadership Conference (GSLC), joining peers from across Canada for three days of leadership development, connection, and shared learning.
Over the course of the conference, students engaged in a range of keynote sessions and interactive workshops focused on purpose, emotional wellness, environmental leadership, and storytelling. Highlights included an opening keynote from social entrepreneur Nick Foley, a powerful session on emotional wellness with Taes Leavitt of The Big Heart Journey, and an engaging workshop on eco-activism led by Derek Forgie.
Students also participated in Global Ambassador Groups throughout the conference—cross-school teams designed to foster collaboration and meaningful dialogue. These groups provided ongoing opportunities for reflection, discussion, and leadership skill-building across the three days.
Additional highlights included sessions with speakers such as Joel Hilchey, Anthony Morgan, and Jeff A.D. Martin, along with large-group leadership activities that brought all delegates together in shared experiences.
We’re proud of how our students represented LCS—engaged, thoughtful, and fully present throughout the experience. They returned with new perspectives, strengthened leadership skills, and valuable connections that will continue to shape their learning and involvement back on campus.
