As the spring season reaches its final chapters, we are proud to celebrate the athletes whose commitment, teamwork, and competitive spirit have stood out across LCS athletics. May’s nominees represent excellence across multiple sports, from the rugby pitch to the tennis courts, track and field, and ultimate field.
Each athlete recognized this month demonstrated not only strong performance, but also leadership, resilience, and a positive impact on their teams:
Danica ’27 – For scoring the most points this season and helping lead the team to a CISAA gold medal. Danica is a remarkable player who consistently brings outstanding energy and intensity to the rugby pitch.
Max ’28 – For his great energy and dedication to tennis, helping lead the Junior Boys team to success by capturing gold in the First Doubles division alongside his partner, Paul.
Nolan ’28 – For being a key handler for the Junior Ultimate team throughout the season and delivering a standout moment with a miraculous sliding catch before assisting on the CISAA championship-winning point.
Coco ’28 – For an excellent performance in track and field, securing a second-place finish in javelin and qualifying for Metros for the second consecutive year.
Charlotte ’26 – For her exceptional leadership as captain and scrum-half of the girls rugby team. Charlotte played a pivotal role in the team’s undefeated season and CISAA gold medal win, consistently directing play and creating scoring opportunities for her teammates.
May Athlete of the Month: Danica Bennett ’27
Congratulations to Danica ’27, whose consistent scoring, leadership, and high-impact performances throughout the season made her a clear standout. Her contributions were instrumental in the team’s CISAA gold medal success, and she set the tone each game with her energy and drive.
