A Year to Remember: Honouring Our One-Year Students

This week, we had the joy of celebrating a remarkable group of students who spent a single, unforgettable year at Lakefield College School. On Monday evening, Ms. Kee hosted a warm and meaningful dinner in their honour, bringing together our one-year students to reflect on their time at LCS, share stories, and express gratitude for the people and moments that shaped their experience.

Over dinner (and a few cupcakes), each student took a moment to reflect on their journey—sharing highlights of growth, connection, and discovery. As the evening came to a close, students were presented with Grove flags as a lasting reminder of their year. These flags are meant to be filled with signatures from friends, classmates, and mentors, capturing the relationships and memories that made their time at LCS so special. In true LCS spirit, the night ended with a heartfelt Hug Line, sending them off with warmth, laughter, and a strong sense of belonging that will stay with them well beyond campus.

We are deeply grateful for the energy, curiosity, and perspective these students brought to our community this year, and so proud of all they’ve contributed during their time here.

As we say goodbye, we want to recognize the following students—we will miss you, and you are always welcome home to the Grove:
