An Afternoon of Connection, Inspiration, and Impact at the AGO
On Sunday, April 27, members of the Lakefield College School community gathered at the Art Gallery of Ontario for Women of Lakefield: She Makes Change—a heartfelt celebration of leadership, philanthropy, and the power of community.
The event brought together alumnae, current and past parents, staff, and friends of the school for an afternoon of meaningful conversation, shared stories, and deep connection.
The afternoon began with a warm welcome and opening remarks, setting the tone for a powerful and uplifting gathering. Guests were treated to a live performance by talented fiddler and singer Millie ‘24, whose music added a joyful and energizing atmosphere to the event.
We were honoured to feature a dynamic panel discussion moderated by
Rose Terry ’07, a passionate community leader and advocate for women in philanthropy. Rose guided the conversation with insight and authenticity, engaging our speakers in thoughtful dialogue.
Our panelists included:
Jess Merber, a philanthropic advisor with expertise in women’s philanthropy, financial planning, and community impact.
Sarah McCain Coulson ’05, a social media strategist and member of both the McCain Foundation and LCS Foundation, who is launching Three Seeds, a private family foundation focused on community and legacy.
Jennifer Fraser P ’03 ’08, a healthcare professional and committed supporter of education, human rights, and the arts, with a 45-year career in cardiac care and a deep passion for global impact.
Together, they shared stories of generosity, leadership, and what it means to drive change—individually and collectively.
