This week, Lakefield College School welcomed representatives from over 20 post-secondary institutions spanning Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates for the first of five Fall Post-Secondary Fairs. Held in Upper Hadden Hall, the event gave students a chance to ask questions, make connections, and explore the many exciting possibilities available after LCS.
Canadian universities included Huron University, the University of Ottawa, the University of New Brunswick, the University of British Columbia, and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT).
From the U.S., schools such as New York University, Syracuse University, Northeastern University, Wesleyan University, The Ohio State University, the University of Vermont, the University of California–Davis, Ferris State University, St. John’s University, and Graceland University were on hand to share their programs. Students also connected with specialized institutions like SCAD – Savannah College of Art & Design, known globally for its strength in creative disciplines.
International opportunities were also well represented, with NYU Abu Dhabi alongside a strong contingent of leading U.K. universities, including Cardiff, Durham, Aberdeen, Sussex, Stirling, St Andrews, and Royal Holloway, University of London.
This first fair showcased the breadth of pathways open to LCS graduates—from liberal arts colleges and research-intensive universities to institutes specializing in design, business, science, and technology.
Students will have more opportunities to connect with schools at upcoming post-secondary fairs this fall on:
- Tuesday, September 30
- Thursday, October 16
- Thursday, October 23
- Thursday, November 30
These events play a key role in helping students envision their futures and begin charting a course toward their post-secondary journeys.
