Parents' Week: November 4-6 2025

We've been making plans for two days of fun and connection; enjoy parent house socials, a special dinner by Grade and other uniquely Lakefield experiences. Attending Parents' Week is a great way for you to connect with other parents, learn more about the LCS experience, ask questions about your student's learning, and hear updates from faculty about recent progress. It'll be worth the visit!

  • Welcome & Registration | 3:15 p.m.

    Begin your Parents' Week experience by checking in at the registration table and collecting your name tag.

    Location: Learning Commons Hallway
  • University Guidance | 3:45 - 4:30 p.m.

    The LCS Guidance team knows how important the university application process is as students prepare for life after high school. This workshop will provide an overview of the university application process, with a focus on Canadian universities. This session is open to all parents, however, it is best suited to parents of current Grade 11 students.

  • Parent / Teacher Interviews | 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. (In-Person)

    Meet with your teen's teachers to discuss their progress.

    Location: Various classrooms 

    Register for this event  (Note: Registration for parent-teacher interviews will open on October 24. Initially, there will be a limit of 5 appointments per student. This restriction will be lifted for those wanting to book more than five appointments on Monday, October 27 at 9 a.m. (EST)).




  • Head of School Social for International Families—Drop-In | 5:30 - 6:15 p.m.

    We’re excited to invite our international parents to a special reception during Parents' Week. This gathering provides a wonderful opportunity to connect with Head of School Anne-Marie Kee and engage with fellow families. We recognize that international families may have fewer chances to meet in person, so we’re delighted to create this space for conversation and community-building.

  • House Community Socials | 6:30 - 7:15 p.m.

    Parents are invited to enjoy a short social before dinner with our residential Heads of House. It's a wonderful way to meet parents by House group, share your experiences, and strengthen your connections with each other.

    Following house receptions, we’ll have a delicious dinner together in Winder Smith Dining Hall. Enjoy meeting members of our community  while dining with others whose children are in the same Grade as yours. We’re looking forward to this relaxed and enjoyable way to connect by Grade.

  • Outdoor Canadian Breakfast Experience | 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. - FULL

    Embark on a unique outdoor experience at our Northcote Campus, led by our Northcote Team. Cook a delicious Canadiana-inspired breakfast over the fire using local ingredients and enjoy dining outdoors with fellow LCS parents.

    You’ll also have the chance to learn about our Green Industries courses and discover the art of natural bundle-dyeing.

    AI at Lakefield College School (2:10 - 2:40 p.m.): Learn how Lakefield ensures AI enhances student learning while keeping independent thinking at the core.

    Lakefield Teenagers and Belonging (2:45 - 3:15 p.m.): At Lakefield, inclusivity is not an initiative or a checklist. It’s a way of being; rooted in relationships, shaped by perspective, and sustained through a shared sense of belonging.
     
    Join us to hear how Lakefield is addressing one of society's most pressing concerns.
