Join Us for Regatta Day on Saturday May 25, 2024

Each year, in May, the entire Lakefield College School community comes together for Regatta Day. We celebrate springtime, being outdoors, and our beautiful waterfront campus with activities for everyone.

Students, parents, alumni and staff, plan to experience all of your favourite Regatta Day traditions. We have a full schedule of events lined up from a BBQ lunch and music, sailing and canoe races to the adventure challenge, and the Strawberry Tea.

Mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects!

12:00 pm Waterfront BBQ Lunch
Join us at the waterfront after registration for a sizzling BBQ. The menu includes burgers, sausages, lemonade, and veggie and gluten-free options.
12:45 pm Waterfront Regatta Day Activities
  • Welcome from the Head of School
  • Paper House Cheer-off (Sheldrake...Earthquake! Do you remember yours? Practice and get ready for a fun Cheer-Off)
  • Sailing Races—Arsenault and Westwood Cups
  • Canoe Races
  • Live Music—Irish Millie and the Beau Dixon Band
  • Children's Activities (Fun for the whole family, face painting, crafts and games)
  • Matthews Hill Waterslide (bring your bathing suit!)
1:45 pm Grand Opening of Ryder House
Celebrate the newly renovated and enhanced Ryder House alongside members of the Ryder Family and others whose remarkable generosity made this renovation possible.
2:00 pm Strawberry Tea
Join us for an afternoon at the waterfront for a long-standing tradition of delicious Strawberry Tea, scones, whipped cream and strawberries.
3:30 pm - 5:00 pm Afternoon Activities on The Grove
  • Adventure Challenge - Waterfront (All are welcome to participate)
  • Staff/Student Soccer Game - Lefevre Field (all are welcome to play)
  • Family Fun Zone (Bouncy Castles, games and face painting)
  • End your day by enjoying a BBQ dinner
