On behalf of the LCS Foundation, we would like to express a very special thank you to alumni from the '40s, '50s,and '60s who joined us on May 6 for a virtual alumni social!
It was a pleasure to see everyone and catch-up over fond memories. Indeed, what made this event so special were the cherished stories that you all shared. We covered just about everything from beloved faculty, to football and, of course, countless rowdy shenanigans. Hearing about moonshine being made in the bathtub was my personal favourite!
This was our first virtual Alumni Social and the Old Boys have set the bar high for other classes. For those alumni unable to attend, please know that you were missed and we hope to see you at a future event, online or in-person!
As a reminder: for a history of Lakefield College School from 1879 up to this very day, Stephen Smith ’85 is seeking contributions from all and any within the wider Grove community. Anecdotes and reminiscences, yarns and journals, artifacts, relics, photographs and artwork, scraps and scrapbooks — all are welcome. Contact Stephen by e-mail. For those of you who may be interested, you can order Stephen's most recent book Puck Stuck.
Again, thank you all for a truly memorable evening. Opportunities like this, where we can continue to laugh and reminisce even in exceptional times, play a huge part in maintaining the sense of community that makes LCS so remarkable.
