Celebrating Student Success at the Lakefield Literary Festival Young Writers’ Contest

The Lakefield Literary Festival Young Writers' Contest received nearly 100 submissions, 20 of which were submissions from LCS students!
 
Our students received accolades in the following categories:
 
Senior Non-Fiction: Michael Cheito ’21 (1st Place) 
Junior Non-Fiction: Gabi Brown ’24 (Honourable Mention), Amanda Jin ’23 (Honourable Mention), and Teya Webster ’23 (Honourable Mention)
Senior Fiction: Jana Rubel ’22 (1st Place)
Junior Fiction: Cam Eatmon ’24 (Honourable Mention)
Junior Poetry: Rida Shahbaz ’23 (Honourable Mention)
Senior Poetry: Michael Cheaito ’21 (1st Place)

The winners will be published in a digital book on the Festival website. Congratulations to our student writers!

Lakefield College School is a private, coeducational boarding and day school for students in grades 9 through 12, located in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada.
