Celebrating Our Grads' Success on the Algonquin Expedition

The Algonquin Expedition is a long-standing tradition at Lakefield College School, and one that students often cite as one of their most memorable experiences. A test of grit and determination for some, the paddling trip into the Canadian wilderness has become a traditional start to the Grade 12 leadership year at The Grove. This fall, we were pleased to resume offering this treasured rite of passage to our Grads who met the challenge with enthusiasm and zeal.

This week, our Grads were recognized in Chapel as Mr. Andras awarded each participant with a pin to signify their shared Grad experience.

In the years to come, we hope our Grads will look at their Algonquin pins and recall the memories they formed with their friends, the physical challenges they pushed themselves through, and the joy that came from connecting with peers in the outdoors.
