LCS Community Comes Together for the Terry Fox Run

On Saturday, September 13, the LCS community united for our annual Terry Fox Run, a cherished tradition that celebrates resilience, hope, and giving back. Students from every grade, faculty, staff, and Ms. Kee joined together on campus to honour Terry Fox’s incredible legacy.

The warm, sunny day and lively campus atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for the event as students walked, jogged, and cheered one another on. Inspired by Terry’s Marathon of Hope—where he ran an extraordinary 42 km each day—students were encouraged to run or walk for 42 minutes, reflecting on the perseverance and determination that Terry embodied.

It was inspiring to see the enthusiasm, energy, and community spirit on full display. Beyond the physical challenge, the event offered a moment for students to connect with one another and recognize the power of working together for a cause greater than themselves.

Through their participation, our students carried forward Terry’s message of hope and generosity, demonstrating the values of perseverance, empathy, and community that continue to define life at LCS.
