Halloweek at LCS: A Week of Costume, Creativity, and Community Spirit

From October 27 to November 1, our Lakefield College School campus was alive with creativity and Halloween fun during this year’s Halloweek! Students and staff embraced the spirit of the season with themed dress-up days that brought our community together in playful and memorable ways.

The week kicked off with Teacher Dress-Up Day on Monday, where students had the chance to step into the shoes of their favourite teachers—complete with signature looks and playful impersonations. Pop Culture Day on Tuesday filled the halls with everything from superheroes to iconic film and television characters. Midweek saw Jersey Day on Wednesday, as students proudly wore their favourite sports gear, leading into House Costume Day on Thursday, where our houses showed off their creativity and team spirit. Twin Day on Friday gave students and staff the chance to match with friends, and Western Day on Saturday closed out the themed days with cowboy hats, boots, and plenty of country flair.

Friday evening brought the highlight of the week: the Halloween Dance. Students gathered to dance, celebrate, and show off their best costumes in a lively, spirited atmosphere. The fun didn’t stop there—Saturday evening saw Haunted Halls, where our Grade 12 students transformed the academic wing into a spine-chilling maze of spooky surprises, delighting and terrifying visitors in equal measure.

Halloweek 2025 was a true showcase of imagination, collaboration, and school spirit. From creative costumes to community celebrations, it was a week that reminded us all of the joy of coming together—and having fun while doing it!
