On Wednesday and Thursday this week, 30 LCS students from Grades 9-12 took part in the either the Fryer, Galois, Hypatia, or Euclid math contest which are hosted every year by the University of Waterloo.
These contests mark the end of the mathematics and computer science contest season. Overall this year, 88 papers were written in eight separate contests taking place throughout the year, with some very high placing finishers as noted in previous e-new articles. This represents our highest participation rate in recent years, perhaps the highest ever!
We will be receiving the results of this week's entries in about a month's time. We will share our top finishers via the eNews and celebrating the strong finishers from all the contests during ceremonies at the end of the year.
