Sun, Fun, and School Spirit: Gladiator Day 2025

On Wednesday, June 4, our students took a well-earned break from their final projects and end-of-year assignments to dive into one of the most anticipated days of the year—Gladiator Day! A long-standing LCS tradition, this annual event is all about energy, teamwork, laughter, and some seriously fun competition.
As always, the day kicked off with a crowd favourite: the chariot races. The McEwen Gym thundered with cheers as students sprinted, pushed, and shouted encouragement to their housemates, setting the tone for a high-spirited afternoon.

From there, campus transformed into a playground of creativity and challenge. Students rotated through a fantastic lineup of games, from the soaking wet thrills of the Slip and Slide and Water Relay, to fast-paced face-offs like Head-to-Head Tic Tac Toe and Human Foosball. The Target Combine tested their aim, the Dunk Tank kept everyone on their toes (and often soaked), and the jousting ring saw some epic matchups that had everyone laughing and cheering.

After a full day of action and adrenaline, students came together by the waterfront for a well-deserved BBQ dinner, sharing stories, celebrating wins, and soaking in the sunshine and school spirit.
A huge thank you goes out to our School Life class for organizing the day, and to the many staff volunteers who helped bring it all to life.

And of course, congratulations to Pullen House, who emerged victorious! Here's to another unforgettable Gladiator Day.
