Endurance, Achievement, and Spirit: Highlights from the 2025 Ondaatje Challenge

The 2025 Ondaatje Challenge was more than a test of physical ability, it was a celebration of dedication, resilience, and school spirit. Throughout the spring, our students took part in a four-part endurance series that pushed them to give their best on land and water.

This year’s challenge included:
  • 10km Run – April 22
  • 15km Bike – May 8
  • 2km Paddle – May 28
  • 640m Swim – June 3
Whether students participated in a single event or took on the full series, every effort was recognized and celebrated. Those who completed all four events earned the Ondaatje Participation Award, a meaningful recognition of their commitment and perseverance.

For students who met the Standard of Excellence in each of the four events, the prestigious Ondaatje House Medal will be awarded at Closing Ceremonies—honouring their exceptional performance and endurance throughout the season.

We are incredibly proud of all participants and grateful to the families and community members who cheered on our athletes every step of the way. The Ondaatje Challenge continues to be a highlight of the LCS year—bringing students together through friendly competition, personal achievement, and shared school pride.
