For the second year, Lakefield College School’s House Leadership Model continues to shine as a platform for student voice and house spirit. Our House Leaders have embraced their roles with enthusiasm and commitment, guiding their peers, leading house meetings, and spearheading initiatives that strengthen both their houses and the broader LCS community.
The House Leaders represent five key roles per house, expanding student responsibilities and providing diverse opportunities for young leaders to shine. Sixty students from Grades 9 to 11 participate, representing their peers, guiding house meetings, and spearheading projects. Weekly gatherings of House Leaders offer a platform for sharing insights and feedback, ensuring each house's unique voice is heard.
Monthly gatherings give leaders the chance to share ideas, offer feedback, and ensure every house’s unique perspective is heard. In meetings, they facilitate discussions, share announcements, and introduce projects that promote school spirit, sustainability, and well-being.
Through this model, students gain valuable leadership experience while fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment. Many focus on initiatives aligned with LCS values, from service learning to sustainability, leaving a meaningful impact on their peers and the school environment.
We are proud to congratulate this year’s House Leaders for their creativity, dedication, and initiative, helping make LCS a stronger, more inclusive, and vibrant community.
