Visiting the Louvre from LCS

Ms. Morencie’s Grade 9 Integrated Arts Visual Arts majors explored the Louvre's virtual gallery exhibition, The Body in Movement. Our Visual Art students are learning how to draw dynamic figures and studying human proportion. This exhibition highlights dancing figures, shining a light on how visual artists have been inspired by dancers and the movement of the body for centuries. Students had the option to read about the artworks in English or French and practiced their skills by sketching the artworks they were visiting. Remote learning may not allow students to visit museums in person, but it has opened the door for so many virtual experiences like this one.

You can visit the Louvre from your home by visiting the exhibit website. Happy viewing!
