Exploring the Ends of the Earth

By Tim Rollwagen

Last week, the Grade 9s, 11's, and 12's spent the morning hearing from explorer, Ian Evans, about his experience of skiing more than 900 kms from the Ronne Filchner Ice Shelf to the South Pole and the lessons he learned along the way.

Afterwards the Grade 9s, as part of their Leadership, Character and Values program, spent the rest of the morning in an intimate question and answer session with Mr. Evans.

Ian’s speech was an incredible experience for all of us. It was inspiring, authentic and motivating. The students were so excited about Ian’s story and message. A wonderful way to start the day!
