Easter-Themed Spirit Event

By Anna Harris ’20 and Paul Prindiville-Porto ’20

This past long weekend, the School Life Class put together a friendly Easter-themed baking and egg-decorating competition. Since participants and judges alike were spread across the globe, the entries were judged based on creativity, presentation and fitting the theme, although the judges wish they could have tasted the treats! Nevertheless, the competition was successful with submissions from students and staff families alike.

Congratulations to Jana Rubel ’22 who claimed first place with her creative deviled eggs, to Rowan ’22 and Wulfric Harris-Stoertz ’20 who placed second with their artfully decorated cake, and Keira Hartley ’21 who placed third with her egg-cellent meringue bird’s nests, all of whom earned numerous points for their paper houses.

In the staff family category, Ms. Moore’s sons Josh and Ryan decorated easter bunny sugar cookies and Ms. Boomgaardt’s daughter Molly submitted her beautifully dyed Easter eggs.

This was an exciting way to kick-off remote spirit events over the long weekend. We look forward to awarding prizes directly!
