Grade 9s and The Physical Properties of Compounds

Mr. Exton's Grade 9 class has been learning about the physical properties of compounds. Students went outside and picked a leaf in order to make qualitative and quantitative observations of it. They then shuffled and distributed their notes for the challenge of finding someone else's leaf using the observations alone. A perfect activity for the changing colours on campus at The Grove!

The class also made slime! Another opportunity to put their understanding of physical properties and lab skills like measuring, observing, and following procedure into practice.
