Andrew Ihamaki Shares Artwork with our Grade 10 Arts Students

For their final class of the year, the Grade 10 Visual Arts students were joined by art educator, Andrew Ihamaki from the Art Gallery of Peterborough. Andrew shared portraits from the AGP's permanent collection, including a Warhol print, pet portraits, works from Canadian artists, such as Norval Morriseau and Sheila Butler, along with the oldest works at the AGP (portraits of Charles Rubidge and his wife, for whom Rubidge Street is named). Our students were able to see some “behind the scenes” set up as the gallery prepares to re-open this summer. In their final unit, the Grade 10s have been working on their own expressive self-portraits. Swipe through the gallery to see their final works.
