LCS Students’ Creativity on Display at Surface Gallery

Seven LCS students participated in the 2023 Surface Gallery International Postcard Show, showcasing their artistic talents on a global stage. Students created 4x6” miniature artwork using media of their choice to express their creativity in a unique and personal way. Participating in an international art show like this one allows students to gain exposure for their work as it’s viewed by a wide range of audiences from around the world. It also gives them the opportunity to learn about different art styles and techniques and feel a sense of pride in having their artwork displayed at the international level (a great addition to a young artist’s portfolio!).

The postcard show is an annual feature in Surface Gallery’s exhibitions and invites artists of all ages from around the world to participate. The artwork will be on display in the gallery from January 13 until February 4, 2023, at which point, participants have the option to list their artworks for sale, trade, or have them returned.

Congratulations to our student participants: Anna ’24, Claire ’24, Mackenzie ’24, Paulo ’25, Dominique ’24, Jason ’24, and Kassia ’24. Well done, everyone!

You can visit the Surface Gallery website or Instagram for more details.
